My abilities as a housewife

Still something I seem to lack an instinct for. Someone I once slept with choked in surprise, on entering the hallowed den, and said, 'My God, it's like a boy's bedroom!'

Anyway. Behold, the bedroom I had only occupied for three weeks. Note the tasteful way I managed to turn it into a complete tip. Actually, you probably can't tell much from the fuzzy picture, but I'm very excited that my new phone comes with a handy cable to download pics straight onto the pc.

Behold my new bedroom! See how much nicer and more light and spacious! (Probably ditto on the not being able to tell much, but hey). I give it two weeks before it looks like a larger version of the first one.

What I came home from Kathmandu to see...

Andrew's just kindly sent me some photos of his and Alex's wedding. Don't they look lovely? And don't I look brown?

Things I'd never thought of before moving to Bath...

It's annoying when the name of the place you live is also a normal word. Try doing a google search for 'flatshare bath' or 'leisure centre bath' or a million and one other things. I even, I must confess, in a 'let's meet new people' strategy, did a search on Guardian soulmates. Found the details of lots of people, living all over the country, who like having bubble baths. WELL annoying.

And anyway, who the fuck puts that in their lonely hearts profile?

Are there other places that have this problem? Reading. Wick. Tongue (they are definitely going to have problems on the dating site). Hull, perhaps. I must think of some more.

An interesting fact about breakfast cereals

I found this article, about how Tescos, etc are trying to con everyone with food labels. I was particularly struck by this quote from a Kellogs spokesman, "bear in mind that 65% of Frosties, for example, are eaten by men over 18."

Is that funny, or profoundly depressing?
